Mama's Cranberry Sauce




3 packages of cranberries

3 cups of sugar

3 cups of orange juice

Juice of 1 lemon

1 tsp. salt

1 tbs. cinnamon

3 apples cored, peeled and cubed

1 cup povich raisins (optional)

1/3 cup of Grand Marnier or triple sec


- Combine all ingredients in a pot and stir

- Cook on medium-low heat, covered

- Stir frequently and keep an eye on the pot so it doesn't boil over

- Cook until cranberries start burst (sometimes it can take a few hours)

- Refrigerate and serve
